What Standard actually includes
Standard Edition is three new route add-ons and the trains that live on them. If you skip Deluxe, you still drive Northern EMUs, an LNER Azuma, a DB red Class 66, Tri-Rail passenger diesels, CSX freight, a Bavarian regional EMU, an S-Bahn Talent, ICE 1, and a Vectron. Deluxe adds three extra cabs on the same maps; it does not unlock the maps themselves.
Confirm the SKU on the editions comparison before you assume a missing train is a bug. Class 333, GP49H-3, and ICE 4 are Deluxe only; see deluxe locomotives. This page is the Standard roster, grouped by country.
Train Sim World 7 remains single-player. Other trains on your timetable are AI, including the conductor workflow. Full launch is 15 September 2026. Deluxe and Ultimate early access runs from 10 September 2026.
Yorkshire: Class 331, Azuma, Class 66
Airedale & Wharfedale is a 54-mile network from Leeds and Bradford Forster Square to Skipton and Ilkley, with the Rylstone quarry branch and Neville Hill. Passenger work is Northern. Freight is a complete limestone flow, not a cameo.
The Northern Class 331 is the everyday cab. You get both 331/0 (three-car) and 331/1 (four-car) in Northern livery. CAF Civity units, 25 kV overhead, short dwells, tight station throats, and diagrams that swap branches through the day. If you only drive one UK train in the first week, drive this. Training Center has a tutorial; then take a Skipton or Ilkley stopper before you chase express paths.
The LNER Class 801 Azuma is the express overlay. Both 801/1 and 801/2 liveries are included. Hitachi AT300 electric sets appear at key points rather than filling every diagram. Empty coaching stock at Neville Hill uses 5-car, 9-car, and 10-car 801 formations. Do not treat Azuma as a substitute Class 331; it is a different job with longer formations and fewer stops.
Freight is the DB red Class 66 with the new HYA limestone hopper. Two formations shuttle Rylstone quarry, off the Skipton freight branch, to the concrete plant at Hunslet East near Neville Hill. Dovetail also put JNA aggregate wagons and PCA cement tanks in the core so extra freight diagrams are not gated. You will change ends and run around to enter and leave the freight-only lines. Class 333 is Deluxe only. Standard still has a complete Northern-plus-freight day without the fishbowl cab.
Florida: BL36PH, F40PH-3C, CSX
Florida Tri-Rail runs more than 45 miles from Miami Airport to Boca Raton with thirteen stations, yards, and delivery points. Passenger traction is diesel with double-deck Rotem cars. Freight is CSX on the same corridor.
The BL36PH is the modern Tri-Rail workhorse in Palm Tree and dark blue. Most hourly passenger diagrams use this cab. The F40PH-3C in dark blue is the older substitute: same corridor, different prime mover. Rotem cars and cab cars wear both liveries.
CSX power is an SD40-2 and a GP38-2 in Yn3b. They are not passenger substitutes. Use them for local freight, switching, and stone with the new Dura-Max rock hopper. Freight Hauler on this route wants those locos more than the BL36PH. The GP49H-3 is Deluxe. Standard already has two passenger diesels and two CSX freight locos.
Bavaria: BR 440, BR 442, ICE 1, Vectron
Bahnstrecke Nürnberg–Würzburg is 100 km plus of mixed railway via Neustadt (Aisch), including Nürnberg Rbf and nineteen stations. Standard traction covers regional, S-Bahn, ICE, and freight without Deluxe.
DB BR 440 in DB Regio colours is the regional express cab. Its main job is RE10 between Nürnberg Hbf and Würzburg Hbf, with shorter RE10 pieces between Würzburg and Kitzingen. Start here if you want German dispatching at a human speed.
DB BR 442 in Nürnberg S-Bahn colours is the volume machine. Across S1, S2, S6, and RE pieces it accounts for hundreds of services. Treat it as the German Class 331: repetition, not spectacle.
DB BR 401 ICE 1 is the Standard high-speed set: a handful of Nürnberg–Würzburg ICE services, still constrained by signals and speed boards. It is the older generation so Standard players have long-distance work without Deluxe.
DB BR 193 Vectron in DB red is the freight electric, plus a distinctive RE19 double-deck working between Fürth (Bay) Hbf and Nürnberg Hbf. Freight Hauler on this corridor wants the Vectron more than the 440. ICE 4 is Deluxe. Standard still has ICE 1 plus a full regional and S-Bahn day.
How to use this roster
Install order is on how to download Train Sim World 7. Standard is Free Starter plus four route add-on downloads; the menu looks empty if you open the game before those finish. Leave beginner controls on for the first Class 331, BL36PH, or BR 440 diagram. When you want unscripted wagons, open Freight Hauler on a core route with the Class 66, CSX pair, or Vectron.
Safety systems default on. Learn the country you picked on getting started before you turn systems off. Bindings are on the controls reference. Deluxe extras and Ultimate carry-overs sit on the trains hub. Partner traction after 15 September, including the Tadami Line KiHa 40, lives on the roadmap. If a cab is missing from this page, it is Deluxe, Ultimate, or a later add-on.

Is the Class 333 in Standard Edition?
No. The Northern Class 333 is Deluxe only. Standard Yorkshire traction is Class 331/0 and 331/1, LNER Class 801 Azuma, and the Class 66. See deluxe locomotives.
Which Standard train should I drive first?
Class 331 on Airedale & Wharfedale if you want doors and stops. BL36PH on Florida Tri-Rail for diesel commuter work. BR 440 on Nürnberg–Würzburg for regional Germany.
Are JNA and PCA wagons extra DLC?
No. Dovetail included JNA aggregate wagons and PCA cement tanks in the core UK roster so extra freight diagrams are not locked. HYA limestone hoppers remain the main Rylstone flow.
Does Standard include ICE 4?
No. Standard German high-speed traction is the BR 401 ICE 1. ICE 4 BR 412 is Deluxe. Compare SKUs on editions.
Can I use these locos on older routes?
Layering depends on each add-on's compatibility notes. Older routes need a Train Sim World 7 download. Steam can use compatible content during early access; consoles wait for full launch. Read compatible content.
